Community Engagement

Community Engagement

Our community is not a single entity.

Our mission is to serve our community — and our community is a vibrant, living network of people who hold diverse identities and experiences. We engage with all of it, year-round.

Who is the community?

Our community is every queer person and ally who calls London home. It's the young person finding their voice, the elder who has spent a lifetime fighting for our rights, the person who celebrates Pride loudly, and the one who prefers to celebrate quietly.

It's every gender, every race, every religion and every background — a beautiful, brilliant mosaic of London life.

You are the reason

Why you are important

We're a new organisation, which means our strength comes directly from the people we serve. You're not just a spectator — you're the reason we exist. Your stories, your needs and your ideas will shape every event we deliver, every campaign we launch and every decision we make.

Without your voice, we're just a plan. With you, we become a movement.

Radical visibility

The power of visibility

Pride is, and always will be, a protest. It's a moment of radical visibility that reminds the world we are here and we are unapologetically ourselves.

By taking part, you add your voice to a powerful chorus that echoes across our city — making our presence felt and our diversity seen. Your involvement is a vital act of defiance and celebration.

Real impact

The difference you can make

Your contribution, no matter how small, has a direct impact. By joining our volunteer network, coming to our events, or simply sharing our message, you can:

  • Help us build a supportive network for young trans individuals.
  • Amplify the voices of grassroots organisations doing essential work.
  • Ensure our events are safe, welcoming and accessible to everyone.

Sometimes things go wrong

We're human, and sometimes things don't go as planned. If you see something that makes you uncomfortable, witness a breach of our values, or feel unsafe, we need to know. Our commitment to a safe space means we will always listen, investigate and take action to fix what's broken.

Trans solidarity

Trans people belong here — full stop.

Right now, trans and non-binary people are facing relentless hostility — in the media, in politics and on the streets. Rights that took decades to win are being questioned, and the simple act of living openly is being treated as a debate. We see it, and we refuse to look away.

You don't have to justify your existence to anyone. At Capital Pride London you are seen, you are safe, and you are celebrated — not as a talking point, but as a person. Pride began as resistance led by trans people of colour, and that legacy is the work we carry on.

  • We listen firstWe actively seek out trans and non-binary voices to guide our work — and we're committed to building that representation as we grow.
  • We hold safe spacesOur events are built to be welcoming and gender-affirming, with safety taken seriously.
  • We show up year-roundSolidarity isn't a season. We stand with the trans community every day of the year.
