Help shape London's newest Pride.

Capital Pride London is community-led, independent and built by people who care. If you've got a few hours, a skill to share, or a lot of heart — we'd love to hear from you.

Why volunteer with CPL

People like you are the reason Pride happens.

Capital Pride London is one of the youngest Prides in the UK and we're proudly volunteer-led. We're building a team that reflects the communities we serve — organisers, creators, behind-the-scenes folk and quiet powerhouses alike. You don't need to have worked on a Pride before; leadership roles do need the relevant skills and leadership experience, but everywhere else, willingness counts most.

Whether you want to take on a leadership role across the year, lend a hand on event day, or help out from your sofa — there's a place for you here. The form below tells us who you are and where you'd love to fit. We read every application and we'll come back to you with the next step.

Currently recruiting for the leadership roles above. We update this as roles open and close. No open leadership roles right now — but event-day and general volunteers are always welcome.

No Pride experience needed

You don't need to have worked on a Pride before — plenty of our team haven't. Leadership roles do need relevant skills and leadership experience; everywhere else, willingness counts more than a CV.

Access & comfort

The form has a section for access needs. Tell us what helps — we'll work around it.

Team support

You won't be dropped in cold — we'll show you what's what, pair you with the right people, and make sure you feel at home.

Questions you might have

Do I need experience for a leadership role?
Yes. The four Head-of roles (Marketing, Social & Content, Communications, Partnerships) need the relevant skill set and prior leadership experience — in-house, agency, freelance or with another cause. You don't need to have worked on a Pride specifically; we'll teach you the Pride bit. For event-day or general volunteering, no formal experience is required.
Do I need to live in London?
For most roles, yes — at least for event day. If you'd rather help remotely (social, content, design, comms) we can usually make that work. Tell us in the form and we'll come back to you.
How much time will it take?
It depends. Leadership roles run year-round and tend to need 4–6 hours a week, more in the run-up to Pride. Event-day volunteering is typically a single shift between four and eight hours. There's no minimum commitment — pick what you can actually keep.
I'm under 18 — can I still apply?
Volunteers need to be 18 or older. If you're 16–17 and want to get involved, get in touch and we'll suggest ways to support Pride that fit your age.
I'm not LGBTQIA+. Can I still volunteer?
Allies are welcome. Pride is a movement that needs everyone who believes in it. We do ask all volunteers to share our values around inclusion, safety and respect — they're in the consent section of the form.
Are CPL roles paid?
Volunteer roles are unpaid — every role on this page is a volunteer position. Capital Pride London plans to have some paid staff roles in future as the organisation grows; those will be advertised separately when they open.
Is there a code of conduct?
Yes. All volunteers — leadership and event-day alike — are expected to read and follow our Volunteer Code of Conduct (PDF). It covers respect, safety, inclusion, confidentiality and how we look after each other. You'll be asked to confirm this in the consent step of the form.
What happens after I apply?
You'll get a confirmation email straight away. Within around two weeks one of the team will be in touch for a relaxed chat about where you'd like to fit. If we're not the right home for what you want to do, we'll say so honestly.
Can I withdraw my application?
Any time. Email volunteer@capitalpridelondon.com and we'll remove your details.
Where does the information I share go?
It's stored securely on our website and seen only by the small team handling volunteer applications. We don't share it with sponsors or partners. Full detail in our Privacy Policy.
