Fundraise for Pride — power a radically inclusive London

Whatever you love doing, you can turn it into a fundraiser for Capital Pride London. This free toolkit walks you through every step — from your first idea to getting what you raise safely to us.

Why it matters

Every pound powers our year-round work for the community

Capital Pride London is a powerful demonstration and a joyful celebration for all. The money you raise powers our work for the LGBTQIA+ community — through Pride season and right across the year.

Events all year round

Funds help us put on welcoming community events and festivals — through Pride season and beyond — that bring people together.

Safety & accessibility

They cover venue hire, staging, insurance, professional security and the access measures that keep everyone welcome and safe.

Education & advocacy

They power education programmes, support for local LGBTQIA+ groups, and our work pushing for fairer policy beyond Pride day.

Visible & proud

They help us hold a visible, joyful presence that builds acceptance and pushes back against isolation and prejudice across the city.

Step by step

How to fundraise in five steps

New to this? Follow the path below. Each step takes you a little closer to your target — and you don’t have to do it alone.

  1. 1

    Pick your fundraiser

Choose something you’ll enjoy — a supper club, a challenge, a quiz night, a collection, a birthday give-back or your own bright idea. Browse the ideas below to get started.

  2. 2

    Set a target & a plan

Decide how much you want to raise, pick a date, work out any costs and line up a few people to help. Our toolkit has a planning checklist and a budget tracker to make this easy.

  3. 3

    Set up your donation page

The simplest way to collect money is an online page on JustGiving or GoFundMe. Add a photo and your “why”, then tell us about it so we can cheer you on.

  4. 4

    Spread the word

Share your page everywhere: social media, group chats, email and posters at your venue. Post updates and thank people as the donations come in — momentum is contagious.

  5. 5

Celebrate & send what you raise

Enjoy your event! Then get the funds to us safely (see below) and email us within seven days so we can say a proper thank you and send your receipt.
